Ethics Commission Launches Campaign Committees Table

For Immediate Release: June 11, 2021
Contact: Nancy Jackson (213) 978-1960

Today, on its website, the Ethics Commission launched a new data tool to help the public view and research campaign committee information regarding City and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) elections. The Campaign Committees Table spans more than 20 years and allows the public to easily find all committees associated with a candidate or ballot measure, along with copies of all their disclosure reports.

The table provides advanced search options in the form of cascading search panes, which is useful for filtering across multiple data values at once. Data can be filtered by candidate name, committee name, election year, and other related fields.

The purpose of the Campaign Committees Table is to provide a bridge to help educate members of the public who are interested in learning more about campaign finance but may not know where to begin. The table provides a broad scope of campaign finance data, and the findings can then be used to better inform deeper searches on the Ethics Commission's Public Data Portal (PDP). The PDP provides access to the same information on the new data table, as well as additional search options, reports, and data.
