Approaching the 2024 elections for the City of Los Angeles (City) and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the Ethics Commission announces today’s filing deadline for the first pre-election campaign disclosure statements. The 2024 City and LAUSD primary elections will be held on March 5, 2024. Campaign statements associated with elections promote government transparency by disclosing financial transactions, such as contributions received and expenditures made by candidate committees, as well as independent expenditures committees.

Campaign committees are required to submit campaign statements periodically throughout the election cycle. These documents are required to be submitted to the Ethics Commission for public record. Once filed, campaign statements are available for public viewing and downloading on the Ethics Commission's Public Data Portal at Additionally, a summary of the reported data for each district and candidate in the race is provided on the Ethics Commission's Election Totals page at

To facilitate a deeper understanding of campaign finance data, the Ethics Commission offers various tools and resources on its Data Hub at These resources are designed to help the public filter and visualize the data in different ways, empowering an informed electorate.
