Begin Candidacy

The following forms must be filed to begin your candidacy for the 2019 LAUSD Special Election.

Within 10 days of opening a campaign committee bank account.

When email addresses, social media accounts, and websites are established.

Within 10 days of raising $2,000.

During Candidate Filing Week.

Contract Amendments

Contractors that were not initially required to submit the following forms may be required to do if the amendment requires approval by an officeholder and makes the total anticipated value of the contract reach $100,000 or more for the first time.

These forms are filed with the contracting department, not with the Ethics Commission.

Required Per Activity

The following forms are required when you perform certain activities:

For City candidates:

  • Within 24 hours of distribution between candidate filing week and the general election.
  • Within 5 business days of distribution otherwise.

For LAUSD candidates:

  • Within 24 hours of distribution
Personal financial interests are affected by a City action.
Within 10 calendar days of action.
Serve in a ceremonial role at an event.
Within 45 days of event.
