LOBBYIST BULLETIN 2008-8 (December 2008) DATES TO REMEMBER MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2009 - 4TH QUARTER REPORTS DUE REMINDER: REGISTRATIONS TERMINATE ON DECEMBER 31, 2008 On December 31, 2008, any City of Los Angeles lobbying registrations associated with you, the lobbying firm or the lobbyist employer that employs you, and any clients you represent, will expire. Year-end termination of all registrations is automatic pursuant to the Los Angeles Municipal Code §48.07(B). Therefore, you need not submit any termination forms. While all lobbying registrations will expire on December 31, we remind you that any individual registered as a lobbyist at any time during the fourth quarter of 2008 must file a fourth quarter lobbying report—along with a fourth quarter report for his or her associated lobbying firm or lobbyist employer—with the Commission.  Fourth quarter 2008 lobbying reports must be electronically filed no later than Monday, February 2, 2009. (The actual filing deadline is January 31, 2009.  However, because that day falls on a Saturday, the deadline is extended until the next business day.)  Please remember that signed paper originals must still be filed subsequent to the electronic filing.
