Sean P. Treglia (2004-Present)
Sean P. Treglia is ethics and regulatory compliance counsel at CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm. In his spare time he maintains a public service law practice serving as general counsel and tax advisor to numerous nonprofit organizations.
Previous positions held by Mr. Treglia include Senior Advisor at The University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication in which he convened workshops on a range of topics related to election and non-profit law. As a Program Officer at The Pew Charitable Trusts, one of the nation's largest philanthropies, he worked with a cross-section of Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, political groups, state-governments and policy think-tanks on various issues related to campaign reform, ethics and compliance. Through the years he has held various positions working for elected officials at the local, state and federal level.
Mr. Treglia is a member of the California State Bar and holds the position of Vice Chair of the State Bar Taxation Section Exempt Organizations Committee. He sits on the board of several non-profit organizations.
Mr. Treglia holds two degrees from UCLA, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a Juris Doctor from the law school. He is currently completing coursework at Loyola Law School to obtain his LL.M. degree in Taxation.
Treglia was nominated to serve on the Commission by then Council President Pro Tem, Cindy Miscikowski, for a term ending June 30, 2009. In July, 2007, Treglia was elected by the Commission to serve as its President for FY07-08. In July 2008, Treglia continued his role as an officer of the board by being elected to serve as the Commission’s Vice President for FY08-09.
