Contacting the Whistleblower Hotline

You can contact the Whistleblower Hotline in person, by telephone, by mail, by fax or by the web. If you wish to file a complaint in person, by mail, or by fax, use the printable version of our complaint form.

If you choose to file a complaint online, please do not send any information you wish to be treated confidentially. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of the information using the online complaint form.

When you call the Whistleblower Hotline, you will hear a short message and have an opportunity to record your message. You do not have to identify yourself. All information you provide will be treated confidentially by the City Ethics Commission and will be reviewed.

Important Notes
If you are a City employee, City law prohibits any retaliatory acts being taken against you for use of the whistleblower hotline. If you feel you are being retaliated against, you should contact the City Ethics Commission immediately at (213) 978-1960.
